The more realistic criteria:

As is often the case, the reality may be a little different. The key requirements for this qualification are that

1) Candidates work on a 1:1 basis with clients offering careers guidance.

2) Candidates must have enough range and responsibility within their role(s) to be able to evidence a sufficient number of optional units to achieve the full qualification. There are 16 optional units available and a ‘typical’ candidate will need to achieve either 4 or 5 optional units to achieve the required ‘credit value' (this could, however be as few as 3 or as many as 6, depending on your role and choice of optional units). Your Assessor will support you in selecting the most appropriate optional units

Candidates need to be employed, or working in a voluntary capacity, in a role that will support their achievement of the qualification. Please contact us (no obligation) if you wish to discuss this further, or have any queries about undertaking the award.
